Carl Sagan

Carl Edward Sagan (November 9, 1934 – December 20, 1996) was an American astronomer, astrophysicist, author, and highly successful popularizer of astronomy, astrophysics and other natural sciences. He pioneered exobiology and promoted the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI). 

He is world-famous for writing popular science books and for co-writing and presenting the award-winning 1980 television series Cosmos: A Personal Voyage, which has been seen by more than 500 million people in over 60 countries.[2] A book to accompany the program was also published. He also wrote the novel Contact, the basis for the 1997 film of the same name. During his lifetime, Sagan published more than 600 scientific papers and popular articles and was author, co-author, or editor of more than 20 books. In his works, he was known for frequently advocating skeptical inquiry, secular humanism, and the scientific method.

Look again at that dot. That’s here, that’s home, that’s us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every “superstar,” every “supreme leader,” every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.  

The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds.  

Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.  

The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.  

It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we’ve ever known.

The Obama administration has decided to give the war in Iraq a new name — “Operation New Dawn” — to reflect the reduced role U.S. troops will play in securing the country this year as troop levels fall, according to a memo from Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates.

Since U.S. forces charged across the Kuwaiti border toward Baghdad in 2003, the war has been known as Operation Iraqi Freedom. The new name is scheduled to take effect in September, when U.S. troop levels are supposed to drop to about 50,000.

The change is intended to send a message that the U.S. military’s combat role in Iraq is rapidly drawing to a close. In the Feb. 17 memo, Gates wrote to Gen. David H. Petraeus, the top commander for the region, that the name change seeks to “recognize our evolving relationship with the Government of Iraq.”

Such name changes are not unusual. The name of the 1991 Persian Gulf War changed as the mission changed, from Operation Desert Shield to Operation Desert Storm and then finally to Operation Southern Watch and Operation Northern Watch.

The name change for the current conflict was first reported by ABC News, which posted the memo on its Web site. A Pentagon spokesman confirmed the decision.

Lucifer is a Latin word (from the words lucem ferre), literally meaning “light-bearer”, which in that language is used as a name for the dawn appearance of the planet Venus, heralding daylight. Use of the word in this sense is uncommon in English, in which “Day Star” or “Morning Star” are more common expressions.

In English, “Lucifer” generally refers to Satan, although the name is not applied to him in the New Testament. The use of the name “Lucifer” in reference to a fallen angel stems from an interpretation of Isaiah 14:3-20, a passage that speaks of a particular Babylonian King, to whom it gives the title of “Day Star”, “Morning Star” (in Latin, lucifer),^[2] as fallen or destined to fall from the heavens or sky.^[3] In 2 Peter 1:19 and elsewhere, the same Latin word lucifer is used to refer to the Morning Star, with no relation to the devil. However, in post-New Testament times the Latin word Luciferhas often been used as a name for the devil, primarily in fictional works.

Another name for ‘Lucifer’ (Latin: literally meaning ‘light bearing’) has not always been associated with the fallen angel, Satan. Originally, it was simply the Roman name of the planet Venus, the ‘morning star’ that rose just before the sun. … In Isaiah 14:12, we find the Hebrew phrase, “HeYLeL BeN-ShaCHaR”, meaning ‘bright son of the morning/dawn’ (i.e. ‘bright/glowing morning star’). In the Greek version of the Old Testament (the Septuagint), this was translated as ‘Phosphorus’ (the Greek name of the morning star), and thence translated ‘Lucifer’ in the Latin Vulgate bible. Isaiah chapter 14 probably condemns the arrogance of the kings of Babylon who considered themselves glorious as the morning star, yet fell to earth. However, due to a confusion of the passages Isaiah 14:12, Luke 10:18 and Revelation 12:7-10, the name ‘Lucifer’ became applied to the Devil.

In Luke 10:18 Jesus states,

“I beheld Satan as Lightning fall from Heaven.”

How does a Jewish Rabbi, which Jesus is credited with being (John 1:38), say in HEBREW, that Satan is like LIGHTNING from heaven?

Barack, also transliterated as Baraq in Hebrew, is LIGHTNING (Strongs Hebrew word 1300). Even in Greek, Barak is LIGHTNING (Strongs Greek word 913) for the name of a person!

The ONLY WAY, a Jewish Rabbi can say in Hebrew that SATAN is LIGHTNING is, SATAN BARACK!

Interestingly, the “Greek” verse of Luke 10:18 does not contain an actual Greek word to translate into “Fall”.

The Greek word translated as “Fall” appears to be a rare form of a Hebrew word for “transgressions”.

So, the words of Jesus in this verse probably refer to heavenly transgressions.

In Hebrew poetry from the dominant book that the New Testament draws upon, to validate the “works” of Jesus as “proof” of poetic prophecy, the use of BAMA (Strongs Hebrew word 1116) is used to refer to the “heights” of heaven.

That book is Isaiah. Christian scholars would agree, that much of the New Testament refers directly to passages of Isaiah’s poetry.

Isaiah is also the source of origin for the Christian concept of “Satan” or “Lucifer” Isaiah 14:12.

In the verses of Isaiah that refer directly to “Lucifer” in King James translations of Isaiah, sure enough, BAMA (Strongs Hebrew word 1116) is used to refer to the “Heights” of Heaven (Isaiah 14:14)!

In Hebrew, the letter vau is transliterated as an “O” or “U”.

It is primarily used as a conjunction to join concepts together.

So, to “join” in Hebrew poetry the concept of lightning (Barack) and a high place like heaven or the “Heights of Heaven”, the letter “O” or Hebrew vau would be used.

Bama is most commonly used to refer to a high sacred place, as well as to the “Heights” of the heavens or clouds.

So, Barack O Bama in Hebrew poetry, similar to the style of Isaiah, would translate literally as Lightning and the “Heights” of the sky or heaven!

Satan is Satan in Hebrew.

So the Jesus “Prophecy” of Luke 10:18, if spoken actually by a Jewish Rabbi influenced by the poetry of Isaiah, would have said the verse Luke 10:18 as ;

Satan Barack O Bama?

That would be Hebrew for Satan is Lightning (Barack) and the heights (BAMA) of heaven or the sky.

Since the oldest copy of Luke 10:18 is recorded in Greek, the only word we need to add, is the incorrectly translated word for a “fall”.

Thus far, Christian scholars claim the word translated as “fall” is Strongs Greek 4098, Pipto.

In Luke 10:18, in GREEK, Pipto is not used.

The word is pesouta. This is probably a Greek phonetic usage of the Hebrew word.

Like Satan is Hebrew and translated phonetically as a Hebrew word, it seems pesouta, a Hebrew word, was not correctly translated, since a Greek word NOT IN THE GREEK TEXT for “fall” is credited by scholars as being in the Satan is Barack (Lightning) verse.

The Hebrew root of pesouta is a word normally used to refer to a “transgression” or a sin.

Pesa (Strongs Hebrew word 6588) refers to a revolt, rebellion or sin, a “transgression”.

This is the exact concept normally associated with “Satan” in Christian theology.

So, Luke 10:18 is correctly translated as;

“Satan is like Lightning (Barack) and the Highest (Bama) heavenly rebellion/sin/ transgression! !

While Christians consider “Sin” a humanly “fall” from Grace, the Greek word for a “fall” is not used in Luke 10:18.

Interestingly, we now have a political leader on the threshold of obtaining control of the largest arsenal of NUCLEAR WARHEADS on this planet!

If you were SATAN, or Barack (Hebrew for Lightning), what army would you try to take control of, so you could unleash 10,000 NUKES upon mankind and DESTROY what he hates.

(Humanity)?

That army, is the army of the United States of America !

Interestingly, another world figure named Barack, is already in control of over 100 NUKES! The minister of Defense of Israel is named Barack!

The New Testament records Jesus saying LIGHTNING, or Barack in Hebrew, only three times! Luke 10:18 is clear.

SATAN is BARACK or Lightning!

In Matthew 24:27, Jesus explains how his “coming” will be connected to LIGHTNING (Barack)!

“For as the Lightning (Barack) cometh out of the east and shineth unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be!”

The Greek word translated as “For” in this verse is gar (Strongs Greek word 1063).

This word can also be translated as SEEING or WHEN.

So seeing Barack or when Barack comes from the east and shines unto the west is a TIMING EVENT for the “Coming of Jesus”!

Barack Obama grew up in the “East”, in the country of Indonesia ! His political career is now about to shine upon the West, the United States !

Can it be, the “Coming of the Son of Man” is nigh?

According to New Testament verses, Lightning or Barack is SATAN and his travels from the East in Indonesia to his accession to the throne of power in the West, the United States , signals the.

“Coming of the Son of Man”!

In Luke 17:24, Jesus once again uses Lightning (Barack aka SATAN) for a timing prophecy of his “Coming”!

Once again, the Greek word gar (Strongs Greek word 1063) is translated as “for”.

However, it is also “seeing” or “when”.

So, Luke 17:24 can also be read as:

“Seeing/when lightning (Barack) comes out of Heaven… so shall also the Son of man be in his day!”

So, Jesus used Lightning (Barack in Hebrew) to literally describe SATAN!

He then tied his “Coming” to the appearance of “Barack” or Lightning aka SATAN!

Many political pundits describe the charisma of Barack Obama as “Messianic”!

Perhaps they should read their Bibles closer and see it is really

SATANIC CONTROL!

The modern “Jewish” concept of SATAN is not like the Christian concept of SATAN!

“Jews” with a traditional “Jewish” view of the Old Testament consider SATAN to be an “accuser” or an “opponent”, not a “fallen angel” out to DESTROY Mankind!

In fact, SATAN is actually two different words in Hebrew.

The second SATAN means literally PISS ON THE WALL! In fact, the Hebrew word SIN means the same thing PISS ON THE WALL! (See Strongs Hebrew word 8366 = Satan/Piss/Sin) .

The Satan Christians comprehend, is Strongs Hebrew words 7853 and 7854.

The ADVERSARY, slanderer, opponent or accuser!

The Christian version of Satan was influenced by the Greek version of the Old Testament, created about 300 B.C., the Greek Septuaginta.

That Greek view of “Satan” probably emanated from contemporary Hebrew thought that was not part of mainstream Judaism.

That view, was of the separatist Jews now known as the “Essenes”.

The Essenic concept of a Great War in Heaven between the Sons of God was written about in Essenic literature that is not part of traditional Bibles now.

However, their poetic prose about the “Great Battle” between the Sons of Light and the Sons of Darkness were rediscovered not long before Barack was born!

That discovery was the Dead Sea Scrolls!

Most Christian Scholars now connect Jesus to the group of Essenes that wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls, primarily due to their communal concept of life, devotion to a minimalistic lifestyle almost in poverty, and of course ritual bathing or baptism.

The Essenes were also acclaimed “Healers”, in the mode of the “Miracles” of the New Testament!

So, is Satan like what “Jews” are taught?

An accuser? Or PISS ON THE WALL? Or, is Satan really LIGHTNING/BARACK who now strolls the earth, walking to and fro, and about to take CONTROL of over 10,000 NUKES?

If SATAN is a real diabolic fallen “angel”, then the rise of Satan/Lightning/ Barack is.

Interesting Data Points

David Flynn dives into the concept of geometry as religion. Freemasonic symbols and numerology are equated to systems of measuring the Earth in nautical miles. Flynn reveals that a compass rose having 32 degrees on it actually has a 33nd degree which is also the degree of zero (0). The 33nd degree is the most important degree.

Flynn draws a connection between the Freemason compass and square, the Compass Rose, the Rose Cross, the Skull & Bones society and Golgotha the place of the skull. Flynn explains that the Hebrew word for “head” is “rosh” and that the symbolism is linked as an esoteric way to navigate to the place of the skull, or Golgotha. We find skull motifs oddly in Vanitas artwork combined with angles relating to the axial tilt of the Earth.

Jesus was apparently 33 years old when he was crucified. More specifically, It can be argued that Jesus was 30+Pi years old when he was crucified.

In the above astrology chart for March 4th, 4BC at 3:14:15 (Pi is 3.1415) we find an extremely startling planetary alignment of the aspects forming a Star of David or Seal of Solomon.

Approximately 32 years later on March 28, 28AD at 5:40:00 we find a very similar alignment.

Flynn describes how dividing 25920 (The same number mentioned by Leo Lion Zagami) by four, you get 6480 years. It takes 72 years to shift one (1) degree through the precession of the equinoxes. 72*360 = 25920. Therefore every 6480 years we move 90 degrees through the precession. 72 years multiplied by 5 is 360, which Flynn uses to draw the connection to the five pointed star, or Pentagram. Dividing by four is a common motif found in the Nazi/Hindu swastika, the vision of Ezekiel, the actual cross itself, and the Hindu Yuga time cycles. Every 6480 years we are able to combine the two major events of a solstice with the alignment with the galactic center of the Milky Way forming an Ouroboros in the sky, with a Phoenix constellation above the snake’s head combined with the Sun rising forming a firey birth of the phoenix arising from a nest, or the Primordial Mount of Atum.

If we study the Hindu Yuga system of time cycles that are also broken into four segments, we find the striking rising and falling of civilizations coupled with death and destruction.

Yuga (Devanāgari: युग) in Hindu philosophy is the name of an ‘epoch’ or ‘era’ within a cycle of four ages. These are the Satya Yuga (or Krita Yuga), the Treta Yuga, the Dvapara Yuga and finally the Kali Yuga. According to Hindu cosmology, life in the universe is created, destroyed once every 4.1 to 8.2 billion years^{[1] [2]}, which is one full day (day and night) for Brahma. The lifetime of a Brahma himself may be 311 trillion and 40 Billion years. The cycles are said to repeat like the seasons, waxing and waning within a greater time-cycle of the creation and destruction of the universe. Like Summer, Spring, Winter and Autumn, each yuga involves stages or gradual changes which the earth and the consciousness of mankind goes through as a whole. A complete yuga cycle from a high Golden Age of enlightenment to a Dark Age and back again is said to be caused by the solar system’s motion around a central sun.

Flynn finally claims the end of a 6480 year cycle, or one fourth of the Platonic Year ends on the Winter Solstice on December 21, 2012. If we apply the Hindu Yuga to our current events we find that we are in the Kali Yuga, or the last division of four:

Rulers will become unreasonable: they will levy taxes unfairly. Rulers will no longer see it as their duty to promote spirituality, or to protect their subjects: they will become a danger to the world. People will start migrating, seeking countries where wheat and barley form the staple food source.

Avarice and wrath will be common. Men will openly display animosity towards each other. Ignorance of dharma will occur. People will have thoughts of murder for no justification, and they will see nothing wrong with that mind-set. Lust will be viewed as being socially acceptable, and sexual intercourse will be seen as the central requirement of life, with the result that even 13 to 16-year old girls will get pregnant. Sin will increase exponentially, whilst virtue will fade and cease to flourish. People will take vows only to break them soon after. People will become addicted to intoxicating drinks and drugs. Men will find their jobs stressful and will go to retreats to escape their work. Gurus will no longer be respected and their students will attempt to injure them. Their teachings will be insulted and followers of Kama will wrest control of the mind from all human beings.

“When flowers will be begot within flowers, and fruits within fruits, then will the Yuga come to an end. And the clouds will pour rain unseasonably when the end of the Yuga approaches.”

“I want to tell you ahead of time, your brain no longer … you will lose it. It won’t understand and it won’t comprehend whats happening so use your mind, use your feelings, come from your heart, meditate, come from a focus point, come from your higher thoughts and feelings rather than worrying about what was going to happen. There were shutters flashing all around creating all this reality you see around you. It doesn’t really exist, its all spirit, its all energy, we’re creating this.”

“Man created time” … “In a greater reality there is no time”

Summary

Ralph Ring claims he responded to a newspaper advertisement seeking a lab technician for an “Advanced Kinetics” research facility. He describes trying to “brute force” the passing of an electron through a magnetic field without the electron being attracted by the local positive or negative forces. Ring started the experiment in his own house but instead of forcing the electrons he “pulsed” them with 100% success rate. Ring does not define what “pulse” refers to.

Ring performed another experiment where he takes a 15 inch woofer speaker, placed it flat on the floor and attached an audio amplifier to it, then started experimenting with acoustic levitation (sound waves). Ring placed a ping pong ball in the center of the speaker and with 28 KHz (28,000 cycles per second) he was able to make the ball levitate. Frequencies from about 20 Hz to 20 KHz are audible to healthy human beings. Ring claims to have been visited by “three (3) men in black from the DeWalt (?) School of Electronics” shortly after his home experiments.

Ring took this discovery to Dr. Wineheart (?) from Advanced Kinetics only to discover that Wineheart already knew about this. Ring describes that there are government funded research facilities who get paid to “look for answers” therefore they do nothing but feed answers into paper shredders and play with physics. Through Ring’s networking with the people at this facility, he found a way in to the deeper circles of “Understanding Meetings”, advanced research and alien spacecraft.

Ring mentions another test with his new research friends. A 2-3 feet in diameter aluminum “model” powered by sound waves. The test involved the progressive increase in sound wave frequency until the “model” felt like “tingling jello” to the touch. Ring describes taking this technology to General Motors and being shot down for the specific reason that this technology cannot be exploited for profit.

Ring describes boarding some type of experimental craft produced by the same people from the “Understanding Meetings” where there was a crystal ball with a white light coming up from the bottom of the crystal ball. The white light was broken into the color spectrum inside the ball and used as some kind of navigation system. Using multiple people focusing a collective thought on the crystal ball, the ball will close in on one color of the spectrum thereby transporting the craft and the passengers.

Ring’s story culminates with his project being shut down by the U.S. Government for the reason of “trying to overthrow the US monetary system.”

Credo Mutwa the Zulu Shaman. "The best way to protect from evil is to deny its existence."

Credo Mutwa is made famous by David Icke. Icke portrays Credo as being one of two people left who have the ‘true knowledge of the continent’. Credo is the official storyteller and keeper of the knowledge of the Zulu people. The bottom line story is that “a reptilian race from another world interbred with humanity in the far ancient world creating hybrid crossbread bloodlines.” The reptilians were the gods of the ancient world and are responsible for human sacrifice. These bloodlines were put into positions of ruling royal power of the ancient world and that same bloodline has continued until today. Enough generalization, lets get into the details that Credo Mutwa speaks of.

It is extremely hard to envision this man as lying or being involved in some elaborate scheme to misguide and/or exploit people. What possible motivation is there? The only way to discredit this is to say that he was lied to by another source and believes it as truth.

Syn) claims to be a “90th Degree Mason” (Ancient Egyptian Rite of Memphis-Misraim) ex-Illuminati member, ex-Vampire, 9th degree York Rite Freemason, Rosicrucian, Wiccan High Priest, Witch, Spiritualist Minister, Knight Templar, Druidic High Priest, Satanic Priest, Catholic Priest, Bishop and Satanic Warlock. Bill popped up on the internet through a few of his Prophecy Club lectures on Freemasonry, Witchcraft, Illuminati, Vampirism and  Satanism. Bill provides generally coherent information excluding the vampire stuff. Bill claims to have been saved by “the power of Jesus Christ” and has grown his hair and beard longer and longer. He was seen at a UFO conference (with Stan Deyo, David Wilcock, Michael Heiser and others) wearing a yamaka, sporting a long white beard and generally acting strange.

Claims

Bill puts together a coherent synthesis of information claiming many of the same recurring internet tidbits such as Freemasonry being a sun cult obsessed with phallic symbols and the Generative Principle. Bill seems to have a somewhat firm grip of understanding of the basic Freemasonry rites and rituals. Bill can be seen reciting lengthy masonic literature from memory and has seemingly memorized many verses from the Bible. He ties in how the original masons built Solomon’s Temple and the secrets were held with Solomon and Hiram Abiff. He claims Freemasonry was infiltrated by the Bavarian Illuminati as a satanic “illuministic” cult seeking to spread evil. However, he does not provide an argument for who the Bavarian Illuminati are or what their motives are. He does say that the Bavarian Illuminati shortly produced two key people, Francis Bacon (The New Atlantis book), and Elias Ashmole.

The 9 (Nine) “Unknown Men”

The Nine Books

1. Propaganda and Psychological warfare is a concerted set of messages aimed at influencing the opinions or behavior of large numbers of people. Instead of impartially providing information, propaganda in its most basic sense presents information in order to influence its audience. It is the most dangerous of all sciences, as it is capable of moulding mass opinion. It would enable anyone to govern the whole world.

2. Physiology is the study of the mechanical, physical, and biochemical functions of living organisms. The book of The Nine included instructions on how to perform the “touch of death (death being caused by a reversal of the nerve-impulse).” One account has Judo being a product of material leaked from this book.

3. Microbiology, and, according to more recent speculation, Biotechnology. In some versions of the myth, the waters of the Ganges are purified with special microbes designed by the Nine and released into the river at a secret base in the Himalayas. Doing some quick research on Asoka, the Emperor who founded this society, we stumble upon the Lion capital of Ashoka which is a sculpture of four “Indian lions” standing back to back. It was originally placed atop the Aśoka pillar at Sarnath, now in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The pillar, sometimes called the Aśoka Column is still in its original location, but the Lion Capital is now in the Sarnath Museum. This Lion Capital of Ashoka from Sarnath has been adopted as the National Emblem of India and the wheel “Ashoka Chakra” from its base has been placed onto the center of the National Flag of India.

Ambitious like his ancestor whose achievements he was anxious to complete, he conquered the region of Kalinga which lay between what is now Calcutta and Madras. The Kalingans resisted and lost 100,000 men in the battle. At the sight of this massacre Asoka was overcome. Forever after he experienced a horror of war. He renounced the idea of trying to integrate the rebellious people, declaring that the only true conquest was to win men’s hearts by observance of the laws of duty and piety, because the Sacred Majesty desired that all living creatures should enjoy security, peace and happiness and be free to live as they pleased. A convert to Buddhism, Asoka, by his own virtuous example, spread this religion throughout India and his entire empire which included Malaya, Ceylon and Indonesia. Later Buddhism penetrated to Nepal, Tibet, China and Mongolia. Asoka nevertheless respected all religious sects. He preached vegetarianism, abolished alcohol and the slaughter of animals. H.G. Talbot Mundy wrote a book called “The Nine Unknown” based on the legend, here is a review of it: “Perhaps the perfect balance between pulp high adventure and mystical novel was achieved in The Nine Unknown. (1923/1924), written and published right before the Tibetan opus Om. The novel is based on a persistant legend brought back to the west from the East, about the existence of nine unknown perfected men who watched over India, and guarded its secrets. In Mundy’s novel there turns out to be nine unknown men who work for the good of mankind, and a dark shadowy nine who worship Kali and work to destroy the work of the others. JimGrim and his crew must try to sort out which is which if they are to survive. The novel was a favorite of Pauwels and Bergier, whose discussion of “the nine” was a prototype “open conspiracy” for planetary change in their influencial Morning of the Magicians. The use of Mundy’s ideas in Pauwels and Bergier’s book was probably was one of the prime reasons for the Mundy revival in the 1960s. The Nine Unknown remains my favorite of the JimGrim novels, and ranks at the very top of my picks of Mundy’s works. It is truely unfortunate that the novel has remained out of print since the late 1960s.”

Does “The Seven” refer to the seven black flickering tongues of Agni the Hindu god of fire? The god of fire as in Zeus? The fire that Prometheus stole and gave to Earth?

This director, who directed Watchmen (See my Watchmen post) seems to have a strange obsession with Owls. As seen in the Watchmen movie, he blatantly displays connections to Freemasonry with owl-shaped ships, checkerboarded floors, Owls on book covers written by fictional characters with last names of “Mason”, a white owl on a wall, and last but not least, the name “Molek” and/or “Molech” being blatantly used in the movie Watchmen tying this to Bohemian grove. Is all this shit a coincidence? Is it being done on purpose? Is it the result of the collective unconscious as Carl Jung would say? But wait, it gets even freakier.

Guardians of Ga’Hoole is a children’s fiction book series written by Kathryn Lasky and illustrated by Richard Chowder. There is also an upcoming movie of the same name, based on the series. Most of the main characters are owls, and the series is a cross between animal fiction such as Watership Down and epic fantasy. In the October/November months of 2008, the main series ended with fifteen books, the most recent book in the series being The War of the Ember. However, the series will continue with more accompanying books, including the already-released Guide Book to the Great Tree and the upcoming book Lost Tales of the Great Tree – a sneak peek was provided at the end of book fifteen. The accompanying series is written by Kathryn Huang Knight. Ga’Hoole, in the fictional owl language, means “Great Spirit of Hoole”.

Grade 4-8-At the beginning of this new series, a young Barn Owl named Soren lives peacefully with his family, participating in rituals like the First Meat ceremony, and enjoying legends about the Guardians of Ga’Hoole, knightly owls “who would rise each night into the blackness and perform noble deeds.” After he falls from his nest, his idyllic world transforms into one of confusion and danger, as he is captured by evil chick-snatching owls and taken to the St. Aegolius Academy for Orphaned Owls. Soren and his new friend Gylfie work to develop strategies for withstanding “moon blinking” (brainwashing), while secretly striving to learn how to fly. The legends of Ga’Hoole help them to survive, and they are able to escape to find their families and warn the world about the dangers of St. Aegolius. While the owls have human characteristics, such as Soren’s determination and Gylfie’s creative ideas, their actions and culture reflect Lasky’s research into owl behaviors and species. The story’s fast pace, menacing bad guys, and flashes of humor make this a good choice for reluctant readers, while the underlying message about the power of legends provides a unifying element and gives strong appeal for fantasy fans.

First Meat ceremony? Rise each night into blackness and perform noble deeds? Evil owls? Brainwashing? Here’s another review:

Gr. 5-8. Soren, a barn owl still weeks away from fledging, is knocked from his otherwise loving family’s nest by his nasty older brother. He is swooped up from the forest floor by a pair of nefarious owls who hold him–along with many other owlets of diverse species–captive in a kind of owl social reformatory. Lasky portrays an owl world that has more in common with George Orwell than with Brian Jacques, offering readers big questions about human social psychology and politics along with real owl science. Broad themes related to the nature of personal choice, the need for fellowship based on love and trust, and sharing knowledge with one’s peers are presented compellingly and with swift grafting to the animal adventure story. Developmentally linked celebrations (such as “First Fur” and “First Meat”), methods devised for brain-washing (including the regimental marching of sleepy owls by moonlight), and the diverse landscapes in which owls makes their homes come to life here as Soren rebels against his captors, makes a friend, and executes the first stage of his planned liberation and family reconciliation. All I can say is… George Orwell?

In an interview, Latsky states:

Q: Where did you get the inspiration for the Guardians of Ga’Hoole series?

A: Well, my first idea was to do a non fiction book about owls. My husband Christopher Knight, a former national Geographic photographer, and I had done several non fiction books together illustrated with his photos. But Chris said that it would be awfully hard doing a non fiction book what with owls shy, rare to the point of endangered and that the best pictures would be at night. So lighting would be difficult. It was his idea that I try a fantasy book. In the beginning I thought I would just do one book. But when I sent the proposal into Scholastic Jean Feiwel, the editor in chief, called me up and said “This is not just one book. It’s six”. I was kind of shocked. I thought how on earth do I stretch this out to six? But now I am just starting book 13. So I guess I sort of figured it out.

Q: Which books will be included in the Guardians of Ga’Hoole movie? Is it going to be live action, cgi, or animated?

A: The movie is going to be cgi and they are right now planning on using a lot of the owls from the Harry Potter movies. It is the same movie company Warner Brothers and the same producer. The first movie, or what we hope will be the first of many, will include books 1 through 3.
